Gratitude

I write gratitudes in The Secret Gratitude Book by Rhonda Byrne daily.  You can use any type of notebook. The process is what is important.

Step 1:

Say “thank you” 20 times. Picture the “thank you” coming from your heart.

Step 2:

Fill up the left side of the open book/notebook with as many things as possible that you’re grateful for (that are already in your life). Start each thought with “Thank you for” or “I’m grateful for.”

Step 3:

Say “thank you” 20 more times, picturing the words coming from your heart.

Step 4:

Fill up the right side with as many things as possible that you’re grateful for (that you don’t already have/your intentions). Start each thought with “Thank you for” or “I’m grateful for.”

Step 5:

Say “thank you” 20 times as you close your book or notebook. Picture the words coming from your heart.

It also helps to meditate on an affirmation you love and repeat it, visualizing that it is coming from your heart. The Secret Gratitude Book contains affirmations, but you can use any affirmation that resonates with you.

I’ve learned to thank people from the heart, as well. There is a different feeling you get when you include your heart in on the process.

You can also repeat the words “thank you” as you walk and take steps throughout the day.
