A New Twist on Cauliflower

1st Set of Ingredients

extra virgin olive oil

curry powder

tumeric

ground cumin

cinnamon

sea salt


 

2nd Set of Ingredients

2 shallots

2 cloves of garlic


3rd Set of Ingredients

cauliflower

2 apples

walnuts


 

Bowl of 1st Set of Ingredients

1 tablespoon curry powder

2 teaspoons tumeric

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Stir the ingredients.

Processing 2nd Set of Ingredients

Mince the 2 cloves of garlic.

Put the 2 shallots in the food processor.

Process the shallots until they are finely chopped.

Add the shallots to the sauce.

Add the minced garlic to the sauce.

Stir the sauce.

Add in 3rd Set of Ingredients

Cut the core out of the cauliflower.

Break apart the cauliflower into small pieces.

Add the sauce to the cauliflower.

Add 1/2 cup walnuts.

Cut up the 2 apples, and add them to the cauliflower, sauce, and walnuts.

Stir all of the ingredients.

 

Prepare for Baking

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Put parchment paper on your baking sheet.  Spread the mixture on the baking sheet.

When the oven is pre-heated, put the baking sheet in the oven.

Set the timer for 20 minutes.

Mix and flip the cauliflower.

Set the timer for 20 more minutes.

 


Hot Tips

  • I added more olive oil.  Olive oil is perfect for cooking/baking.  If you’re not convinced, watch this interview.
  • I would add less salt.
  • Next time, I would add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, as the recipe recommends.
