Quinoa Crust Pizza

Prepare the Quinoa:

1) 3/4 cup quinoa

2) Rinse.

3) Cover quinoa with 1 inch of water.

4) Soak for 6 – 8 hours.

Prepare the quinoa using the steps above.

After 6-8 hours, strain the water from the quinoa.

Rinse the quinoa.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

You’ll need water, olive oil, baking powder, and salt for the quinoa crust mixture.

Add the quinoa, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon olive oil to the food processor.

Blend the quinoa mixture until smooth.

Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil on the parchment paper.  Spread it on the parchment paper with your fingers.

Pour the quinoa mixture into the pizza pan.

Smooth out the quinoa mixture in the pan.

Put the pizza crust in the oven for 20 minutes.

Use the rack to flip to pizza crust.

Flip the pizza crust.

Put the pizza crust in the oven for 10 more minutes, and it will have this golden color.

Add your sauce and cheese to the quinoa crust.  Put the pizza in the oven for 10 minutes.

 

Hot Tips:

  • Shake the quinoa mixture in the pizza pan so that the crust is smooth.
  • If you can’t have cheese, you can add nutritional yeast.
