Sushi Rolls

 

Ingredients:

Regular Soy Sauce

 

Materials:

Steps:

Put the sushi nori on the bamboo sushi rolling mat.

Dip your fingers in water before you grab the rice.  It will make the rice stickier.

Grab the rice to put on the sushi nori.

Continue until the sushi nori is filled.

Cut the carrots in half.

Cut the carrots in half length-wise.

Lay the carrots on top of the rice.

Cut the pickle in half length-wise.

Lay the pickles next to the carrots on the rice.

Cut the avocado in half.  Take the pit out.

Cut strips in the avocado half.

Cut this size sliver of avocado.

Lay the avocado strips next to the pickles.

Roll the sushi with the edge of the bamboo sushi rolling mat with parchment paper.

Squeeze the sushi as you roll it.

Let go of the bamboo sushi rolling mat.

Continue to roll the sushi.

Squeeze the sushi roll again.

Cut the sushi roll.

Hot Tips:

  • Use sushi rice because it’s stickier.
  • Squeeze the sushi as you roll so that it stays in place.
  • Use soy sauce and wasabi soy sauce to dip into.
  • Use parchment paper over the bamboo sushi rolling mat.
  • Buy a bamboo sushi rolling mat.  You can use a plastic bag around it to help the sushi nori stick.
